I'm Back Again...

Its been quite a while since my last entry and a lot has happened.  Unfortunately, I really haven't had time to exercise or watch what I eat in a very long time.  So, I'm basically starting from scratch again.  I've made my Glowing Green Smoothie for the next 4 days (Kimberly Snyder- The Beauty Detox Solution) in an effort to jumpstart my slimdown process.  Also, I will be joining Planet Fitness tomorrow.  I'm ready to start running again.

I have done a few Bikram Yoga classes, which I absolutely LOVE!  Yoga will definitely be a part of my exercise regimen.  I feels so at peace when I'm done.  A peace that is definitely needed to keep me sane.

Well, I will keep everyone posted on my fitness journey...again...

I'm Back!!!

Yeah, its been too long since my last blog.  I will do my best in 2012 to blog more often.  So let's get to the good stuff.  I'm in my 3rd week of a ChaLene Extreme/Insanity Hybrid.  Its not that bad.  I really like the mix of cardio and weight training.  I'm also trying a new "lifestyle" change.  I'm currently reading "The Beauty Detox Solution" by Kimberly Snyder.  Since I'm currently a pescatarian (not sure if I spelled that right...lol), its not that hard to follow.

Okay, back to the workouts.  I've started doing them at 5am to make sure I get them in.  Its been a real struggle especially for this week.  I have to confess that I have missed 2 days so far due to one thing or the other, but I will continue.  I refuse to let a couple of days hinder my progress.  I'll definitely get my workouts in for the rest of the week.

Chalean Extreme has Begun!

Today is Wednesday, August 3rd and I started the Chalean Extreme workout program on Monday.  Here are my stats as of Monday,

  • Chest-38.5
  • Waist 36.5
  • Pooch 39
  • Hips 43
  • Left Thigh 23
  • Right Thigh 22.75
  • Left Arm 12.5
  • Right Arm 13
  • Weight 186 (yes I do weigh this much.LOL)
The first day wasn't too bad, I do have to purchase more weights as I just have 10 pounds for now.  I will get 8, 15 and 20 pound dumbells, I believe that will workout well with the program.  I haven't been sore and I'm chocking that up to the fact that I drink a protein shake immediately after my workout.  Something I learned while doing Insanity.  Yesterday was a rest day so I'm ready to see what Miss Chalene has in store for me today. 

I've also started my food log again, its the best way for me to know just how much I'm eating.  I have to admit that I have been indulging in all my food desires since the wedding...LOL but now its time to get back on track.  I'm working my way down to 150 and I thank you for coming along for the ride.

New to this

Well, I've never truly had my own blog before but here it goes.  I'm gonna give it a try.  This is my fitness blog.  I figure this will be the best way to ensure that I stay on track and on top of things.  On Monday I will start ChalenExteme from beachbody.com.  I will post my thoughts about the program as often as I can.  I've completed Insaity and it was truly that INSANE!  I tell everyone its like gym class on steroids...Until Monday peeps
